I Met Lovely Haruomi Hosono
I don’t mean to brag, but I just wanted to say that I met my favorite musician, Haruomi Hosono, after his concert. He is known for composing the soundtrack for ‘Shoplifters’.
I said, “Would you mind if I shook your hand?”
He asked, “Where did you come from?”
I confessed, “I came backstage while everyone was distracted”.
I finally shook his hand and got his autograph on a T-shirt.
It looked like he made a mistake in his stroke order. He murmured, “Wait, how do I normally write this? It’s difficult to write on cloth.”
I said, “Your kanji is i, i, itohen!”
I found out later that he was going to write ‘H’. He was so kind even through he must have been tired. There’s no doubt I was cheeky. I was stunned with a feeling of happiness for a while.
On the stage, he played some songs in a boogie-woogie style. Compared with old and new, boogie-woogie has a different type of joy and sense of fun from techno. Interestingly enough, techno style is older than boogie-woogie style. He also played old song called ‘Aiaigasa’ by Happyend as an encore.
ちょっと自慢しまーす！細野晴臣さんのコンサートへ行って、その後ご本人に会ってしまいました。 彼は万引き家族の映画のサウンドトラックを作ったことで知られています。
私「握手だけさせてもらってもいいですか・・・？！」
晴臣さん「あなたはどこから来られたんですか？」
私「（友人がバックステージに入れてもらって）どさくさに、まぎれて来てしまいました」と告白。
ふわふわの手で握手をしてもらって、Tシャツにサインまでしてもらいました。 晴臣さんは書き順を間違えたみたいでした。
晴臣さん「あれ、いつもどうやって書いてたっけ。布、書きにくいな・・」と呟きました。
私「い、い、いとへんです！」後から分かったことですが、晴臣さんはHを書こうとしてくれていたのでした。演奏後で疲れていたに違いないのに、とても親切でした。私、めっちゃ厚かましい。その後しばらく、幸せでボーッとしました。
晴臣さのんコンサートは、ブギウギスタイルの演奏でした。昔発表したものと比較して聴いてみても、こんなにも変わるんだって面白さがあります。 興味深いのはテクノの方がブギウギスタイルより古いことですね。アンコールでは、50年前にやっていたバンド、はっぴいえんどの『相合傘』も演奏されました。
